I am a first year graduate student here at Michigan Tech, studying Data Science. I got my B.S. in Bioinformatics from MTU as well, and graduated in the spring of 2022. I joined this team in June of 2022 as one of the student transcribers, and I have been loving this project! I don't get to work with topics like this much in my coursework, so this project is very interesting and enriching to me. I have been living in Houghton for about four years now, and this project has taught me so much about our town's history that I otherwise would not have gotten a chance to learn.
