  • Deep Mapping in National Parks with Calumet Unit- Keweenaw National Historical Park (Sarah, James, and NPS Staff)
  • 2-4pm: Roundtable discussion with David Bodenhamer and Marla Miller about the state of deep mapping and its impacts to public history and communities.

Friday, July 11: Deep Mapping Foundations Workshop I- Modeling Environments
Morning Session: (Geospatial Research Facility, Great Lakes Research Center 316 & 322)

  • Constructing Historical Environments in GIS: Vector frameworks (Project Directors and Staff)
    • Creating vector representations of the built and natural environment (building footprints, infrastructure features, natural environments layers etc)
